Dear Eugene,

I so agree. I don't know the answers here at all, but there are some areas of life where growth is determined by the sort of questions that a person, thing, or event evoke within us. And perhaps that's the point of this entire phenomenon: to provoke us to grow by forcing us to ask questions that totally stretch us out of our familiar and comfortable definitions of self, others, and reality.

This brings to mind my own beginning experience with the subject of Flying Saucers on April 23, 1965! Followed by an actual sighting on the following August and then many dreams. Taking this subject seriously and exploring it has been a profoundly upheaving, exciting, transformational and on-going experience. It's not often one gets to discuss this stuff seriously with others. But doing so is wonderfully comforting. Who the hell knows where it is all heading, but the ride itself makes life interesting, meaningful and thus worthwhile.
