Near Death Experience Research
Near Death Experiences have been experienced by millions of people. Their rate of occurrence has been estimated at anywhere between four and fifteen percent. The most common elements of NDE’s, according to the research of Jeffery Long, are out of the body experience, heightened sense, intense and generally positive emotions or feelings, encountering a mystical or brilliant light, encountering other beings, either mystical beings or deceased relatives or friends, a sense of alteration of time and space, and encountering or learning special knowledge, all of which are reported by more than fifty percent of respondents who have had near death experiences. The impact of these experiences can be and often are truly transformative, with many reporting lasting changes in their sense of inner peace, their valuing of their bodies and their lives, and radical changes in how they view their relationships with others. The meaning and purpose of life is often redefined for those who experience NDEs.
What are these experiences? What can we learn from them? What is the nature of their reality? What can they teach us about living a richer, more meaningful, fulfilling life?
We invite those who have had such experiences to contact us for a free hour long IDL interview via Skype so that we may not only share your experience with others but to hopefully learn how we can amplify the usefulness of the experience today for the subject, even many years after they had their NDE.
