Hindu dream yoga
Hinduism views life as a dream from which we are to awaken. The entirety of HInduism, therefore, can be viewed as a form of dream yoga. It has an ancient, sophisticated, and important theory of dreaming and Its various margas, or paths, focus on various spiritual disciplines designed to wake up, or attain first samadhi, and ultimately release from rebirth. Such yogas include karma (work), bhakti (devotional), raja (meditative), kundalini (breath), hatha (asanas or physical postures), and kama (sexual) spiritual disciplines. A specific yoga of dreaming, of waking up in the dream state itself, has never been a prominent feature of Hinduism. Its focus has been on awakening from the life dream, of which it sees night dreaming as a subcomponent. By awakening from self-created illusion you awaken in all states, waking, dreaming, and deep sleep.
